1 Global Warming: What are the Questions?

2 Question 1: There is scientific evidence to show that the Earth’s surface temperature is increasing. Other evidence shows that the temperature of the upper atmosphere has not risen significantly.

3 If global warming does occur then it could change our world drastically… The polar icecaps could melt. Weather patterns could change. Habitats could change and species could become extinct. Question 2:

4 Question 3: To slow down global warming (if it is occurring) we need to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases.

5 Question 4: Some countries are trying to reduce their carbon dioxide emissions but others don’t see it as a priority.

6 The Aims of This Lesson: 1.To discuss the issues in the Global Warming controversy, using role play. 2.To form your own opinion on the Global Warming debate.
