There are only about 1,000 Giant Panda’s left in the world The Giant Panda can climb as high as 4,000 metres to feed on high slopes in the summer The Giant Panda must consume at least 20 kg of bamboo everyday, this could take about 16 hours to consume The Giant Panda has a thick layer of mucus in it’s throat to protect themselves from splinters while eating bamboo The Giant Panda spends about 2 thirds of the day eating and the other third of the day sleeping

The Giant Pandas have become endangered because there habitats have been destroyed to build homes This causes them to be pushed away from their homes and makes it harder to find food Therefore many of them die causing them to become endangered

Wildlife reserves have set up conservations to help save the Giant panda. We can help by donating to these conservations You can also adopt a panda. This means to donate money to keep a panda safe and healthy You can donate to researchers that are trying to find a way to increase the pandas population
