2  The Giant Panda lives in broadleaf and mixed forests in Southern China.

3  The Giant Panda is located in the continent of Asia  The Giant Panda is located in Southwest China

4  There are only about 1,000 Giant Panda’s left in the world  The Giant Panda can climb as high as 4,000 metres to feed on high slopes in the summer  The Giant Panda must consume at least 20 kg of bamboo everyday, this could take about 16 hours to consume  The Giant Panda has a thick layer of mucus in it’s throat to protect themselves from splinters while eating bamboo  The Giant Panda spends about 2 thirds of the day eating and the other third of the day sleeping

5  The Giant Pandas have become endangered because there habitats have been destroyed to build homes  This causes them to be pushed away from their homes and makes it harder to find food  Therefore many of them die causing them to become endangered

6  Wildlife reserves have set up conservations to help save the Giant panda. We can help by donating to these conservations  You can also adopt a panda. This means to donate money to keep a panda safe and healthy  You can donate to researchers that are trying to find a way to increase the pandas population
