3. Banner Banner is the database used by the University of Alaska for its Student, Human Resources, and Financial operations. Banner is used by over 800 institutions world-wide UA has been on the Banner system (currently version 8.0) since December, 1996. The entire statewide university system uses the same database.

10. Journal Vouchers Journal Voucher: An internal-only (UA) document used to transfer funds from one fund/org/account to another. Also used to correct errors.

Journal Vouchers JVs MUST have printed backup (preferably a screen-print of the fund/org/acct from Banner) Debits and Credits must equal each other Dollar amount at the top is the TOTAL of debits and credits; for instance, if you have a credit of $200 and a matching debit of $200, the total at the top is $400. Include the document number in the description. JVs are intercampus-ed to the Budget office at UC108 where they are entered. JVs are NOT used for personnel costs (Account code 1xxx). Labor Redistributions are used there.
