What Is the Waste to Energy Project? Design of a method of treating waste. Accepts all urban waste. All waste diverted for recycling. Converted to energy or by-products. Little or no emissions to the atmosphere. Very environmentally friendly.
4
Present Methods of Waste Treatment Incineration Recycling Landfill
5
Objectives To build renewable energy plant that can be feasible and viable To improve the Maputo environment by reducing the harmful emissions to the atmosphere To help improve the general welfare of the population To improve the facilities available to the general public To contribute to further development of the theory of pyrolysis
6
The Project The plant size will be about 400,000 tons per annum of received waste Will be located in an area of some twenty hectares The industrial building will be about 7m high and the chimney 10m high The plant output will be: 1.2 GWh and 40 thousands cum per day
