Music! (música) Mexican music can be very traditional. A well known musical instument from Mexico is the maracas’. “Many traditional Mexican songs are well-known worldwide, including Bésame Mucho(Kiss Me a Lot), La Bamba (The Bamba), Solamente una vez (English version "You Belong to My Heart"), La Bikina (The Bikina), Cielito Lindo(Beautiful Sweetheart), Somos Novios (We Are Lovers; English version "It's Impossible"), El Rey (The King), María Bonita (Pretty María), México Lindo y Querido (Beautiful, Beloved Mexico). La Cucaracha(The Cockroach), although popularized during the Mexican Revolution, is a Mexican corridor.” Wikipedia Believe it or not, but the guitar is also Spanish too!

Celebrations! (Celebraciones)
In America, we celebrate the 4th of July. But in Mexico, they celebrate Cinco de Mayo. (The 5th of May) You may think that it is their independence day, but that is not true. “Contrary to widespread popular belief outside of Mexico, Cinco de Mayo is not Mexico's Independence Day—the most important national patriotic holiday in Mexico—which is actually celebrated on September “. Wikiepdedia But they treat it as it was independence day: lighting fireworks, dance in colorful traditional dresses and they make a beautiful bounties of food.

Religion (religión) Most of Mexico comes from the Catholic church. About 85% of the nation to be exact. They celebrate some different holidays than us though. Like 3 Kings day, Cinco de Mayo, and Day of the Dead. The reason we don’t celebrate those holidays is because they aren’t our beliefs. That makes it their traditions.

Activity: Food For this activity, we picked food. We are going to make some delicious traditional tacos. That is a food in Mexico that almost everyone knows about.
