Our Goal: Use Excel to create a graph representing the number of US casualties during the Vietnam War

Excel Open Excel. The icon should look something like this:

Step 3 Now select the whole chart by clicking the corner box and then dragging your mouse to select the whole chart

Step 4 Click “Insert” on the menu bar at the top

Step 5 Click “Column”* and choose the first graph type

Step 6 In the Chart Tools > Design menu, click on “Select Data”

Step 9 Now, click on “Year” under the “Legend Entries (Series)” list to select it

Step 10 If you have “Year” selected, click “Remove”
