INTRODUCTION It was known since 1950s that Far-Infrared light has an effect on human physiology and metabolism but not much scientific studies. Some studies were conducted by Russian scientist on the effects of light (non visible, such as Infrared and ultraviolet radiations.
3
INTRODUCTION We wish to investigate some of the claims made with regards to the beneficial effects of Infrared radiation on human health, especially on the bodily functions, such as : 1. Blood pressure 2. Reduction of body weight 3. Improving blood circulation (improving the blood viscosity and clearing the arterial intima of fat deposits) 4. Body defence system 5. Improving and maintaining Genito-urinary system (creatinine and electrolytes blood levels) 6. Improving the body’s control of blood sugar and lipids 7. Maintaining renal functions 8. Maintaining Liver functions 9. Increasing body’s defence to carcinogens and switching of oncogenes

FAR INFRA-RED (FIR) SAUNA EXPOSURE Sauna A bathhouse or room for taking such a steam bath Types Infrared lamps sauna Far Infrared sauna Conventional sauna Most saunas are made from wood
6
SAUNA COMPARISON TABLE FeatureFIRConventional Heat source Medium Heat Operating temperature Comfort & safety Sauna session Profuse sweat Benefits FIR heater Transmit FIR rays Deep heat therapy 43 – 55 C Comfortable 20 – 30 min Deep perspiration Testimonials, but no clinical study Electrical stove Hot air Steam therapy 80 – 110 C Dry heat 10 – 15 min Surface persp No data
7
FAR INFRA-RED (FIR)SAUNA EXPOSURE Far Infrared The very outer of the infrared spectrum Has the lowest energy level- produces heat Using direct light conversion process Have the ability to penetrate deep into the body
8
FIR MAIN EFFECTS 1. Raises body temperature: 15-30 minute sauna: skin temperature rises to 40C, internal body temp 38C – hyperthermia Fever stimulate immune system (increase disease fighting WBC, antibodies and interferon) Activates sweat glands – remove toxins, clean the skin, lower the core temperature
9
FIR MAIN EFFECTS 2. Increase Heart Rate Increase blood flow through out the body, Bringing vital nutrients and oxygen
10
FIR MAIN EFFECTS 3. Detoxification process Detoxify fat cells and tissues
11
FAR INFRA-RED (FIR) SAUNA EXPOSURE Penetration of FIR causes 3 main effects : Raises body temperature-stimulate immune system- activate sweat glands-toxin-clean skin-lower body temperature. Heart pumping faster-increases blood flow Detoxification

How does an FIR Sauna work? FIR sauna -Duplicate the healthy frequency to the cells The tissues selectively absorb the rays- Resonant absorption Frequency of FIR matches the frequency of the water in the cells Toxins from the cells will excreted through sweat, feces, urine Need a boost of infrared to ensure the fullest healing response FIR can penetrates the body’s tissues to a depth of 1.5-3 inches Deep heating + sweating = healing effects + other health benefits
14
FAR INFRA-RED (FIR) SAUNA EXPOSURE Increased blood flow Boost immune system Activate sweat glands Promote healthy skin Eczema & Psoriasis Detoxification Weight loss Pain management Meditation Psychological benefits Physiological benefits Injuries/ accident Relax muscle group FIR to Health Benefits

FAR INFRA-RED (FIR) SAUNA EXPOSURE Objective: To investigate some of the claims made with regards to the beneficial effects of infrared radiation to the human health
