At the present time… India is a fast growing economy and it now embarks upon reaching an ambitious future of being an economic superpower. With policies on globalization and the liberalization of the economy in the 1990s, businesses, research and innovation activities are significantly changing India is now the 2nd most of the preferred nations for collaborations India’s core competencies in – Information Technology, Biotechnology, Drugs & Pharmaceuticals, Chemistry and allied fields, Microelectronics, Nanotechnology Resurgence in R&D efforts – with national inputs, change in strategic alliances/collaborations, budgetary support to S&T and R&D Emergence of India as a global hub for R&D Developing new and emerging technologies and encouraging globalization of R&D for internationalization of production as against the earlier policy of indigenization and self reliance.
