P4K builds the capacity of individuals to strengthen community organizations through their participation as volunteers, which ultimately enhances the capacity and vitality of neighbourhoods across Toronto

Since 2012… 660 Volunteer Ambassadors trained @ P4K/GBC Community Leadership Training 250 took Fusion Personal Leadership Training Over 650 Neighbourhood Games Over 22,000 residents involved through play (Games & Special Events Over1,500 tried a new sport through Try-A-Sport games Over 200 videos posted on the web 15 P4K Hubs & Over 35 partners organizations

Commitment to Volunteerism was Strengthened….

2014 P4K Volunteer Ambassadors reported that: P4K helped increase their skills: –Communication skills and event organizing skills – increased from 40% to 79%. P4K helped strengthen connections, sense of belonging and leadership: –Only 45% identified themselves as leaders in their neighbourhood pre-training; 69% post-training. P4K is a way to improve happiness, health, physical activity, opportunities and connections: –97% said that P4K creates happier, healthier, and more physically active people. P4K Volunteer Ambassadors’ commitment to volunteerism has strengthened: –91% believe it’s important to give back to the community. –96% recommend the P4K experience to others. They have increased awareness about the Pan/Parapan American Games taking place in Toronto and surrounding region in 2015: –56% said they had awareness of the Games pre-training; 82% said they had a good understanding of the Games after the training.
