1 Student-Led Conferences Maria Katalina Carvajal March 2012 Science

2 Identify your favorite and least favorite part of science and why… My favorite things about science class this year are the open classroom discussions, and the sixty-second sciences. I have enjoyed these discussions because they are always very funny, entertaining, and very informational. We always have a fun time and are able to speak our minds. Something that I didn’t really “favor” about this year is all of the projects. I feel as though we always do projects, and I think that we should do more things and worksheets out of the textbook. The projects (mineral presentation, capzles, and labs) are a little overwhelming, and I think that doing things out of the book will help us better understand the unit and concept. These are the things that I have enjoyed and disliked about this 2011-2012 school year of science.

3 Ranks 1-5 (5 being the best) Ability to turn in assignments on time: 4.5 I ranked myself a 4.5 because I turn in all of my homework on time, besides one time. Class time effort and positive contributions to class discussions: 4 I ranked myself a 4 because I do use my class time wisely and participate in the class discussions, but I know that I can improve myself. Ability to work with others: 5 I find myself being a very cooperative person, and am easily able to work with others. Describe items you want to improve on: I want to improve on my test taking skills because I can always study more to reach higher scores. So I rank this a 5. What went well this year: What went well this year was my overall grades, project grades, and participation. So I rank this a 5.
