2. What did it achieve? a. The salvation of sinners 1. Jesus hangs between 2 criminals 2 Cor.5:21 2. Jesus becomes our substitute – Is.53:5,6 3. One of the criminals is saved – Lk.23:42,43

b. The revelation of God’s character 1. His justice – Rom.3:25,26 2. His love – 1 John 4:9,10 3. His wisdom & power – 1 Cor.1:22-25

c. The conquest of evil 1. Victory over sin – Col.2:13,14 2. Defeat of death – Rom.6:23 3. Defeat of evil forces – Col.2:15
