AUVSI’s Strategic Plan Last week, the board held a strategic planning meeting to discuss AUVSI’s future. Strategic Initiatives: – Be a Trade Organization and provide advocacy at the state, federal, and global level. – Be the “Go-To” entity for public information on unmanned systems. – Be the Marketplace (connect the B2B and B2G players). 5
6
AUVSI’s Strategic Plan How does this affect the chapter? – Right now, no changes. Initiatives were presented as goals to the CEO, who now has to put a plan together to complete the tasks. – The plan will include the chapters and we’ll get our direction there. The chapter is an independent entity (financially and legally). 6

Atlanta Chapter Involvement: Committees This is a big question, so we’re going to be chartering at least two committees: – Long Term Planning Committee Will assess the membership and marketplace to suggest long term changes to the chapter such as a focus, organization, and events. – Education and Outreach Committee Will coordinate between the Atlanta Chapter and the AUVSI Foundation (and other STEM orgs) to educate students and the public on unmanned systems in the Atlanta area. 8
9
Atlanta Chapter Involvement: Committees Other Possible Committees: – Program Committee Will locate and bring in interesting speakers to expand the chapter’s knowledge of unmanned systems in new and interesting technologies or applications. – Conference Committee Will organize and run the chapter’s conferences and workshops. In the event these overlap with other committees (such as outreach or program) the conference committee will provide logistic support. 9
