Take a look at and analyze the different care and guidance systems for students in vocational education and training (VET) Violence prevention and the intervention in dangerous situations. To exchange information on these issues on a European scale and approve methods and policies for transferability.

Using and/or initiating trustful local, regional, national and international networking structures the results of the project will be analysed and a road map for implementation in further education, personnel and organisational development will be developed. By improving prevention measures school distance/absenteeism and early school dropout as well as serious violent incidents at schools could be reduced. There seems to be more awareness regarding an early detection of such problems.

Creating an overview of the different care and guidance systems. Getting to know the level of prevention measures in the partner cities. Increasing the knowledge of handling traumatized students (e. g. victims of social developments, (civil) wars, abused persons etc.) Creating an overview of the different ways to deal with the problem of school dropout Creating an overview of the different ways to deal with school distance/absenteeism

Developing internal networks in VET centres and cooperation with relevant external partners (youth centres, social workers, police, psychologists, etc.), also under the aspect of professional discretion (e. g. in the cooperation between schools, psychologists and police) Creating the basis for an implementation of good practice examples in local plans for personnel and organisational development

Local meetings of personnel involved in care and guidance, violence prevention, crisis intervention to prepare data for presentation Distribution of tasks in accordance with specific experiences or knowledge of partners, balanced scorecard Steering committee of 4 partner institutions to control the process International conferences to exchange and analyse information. Visiting best practice examples in the partner cities

Presentation of information on local care and guidance systems, methods and strategies/policies Presentation of local and international networking Project website to display collected data and work in progress Electronic exchange of information between the partners by email and/or in an online forum Multilateral training sessions/workshops Questionaires

Project website accessible, online forum accessible. Detailed list of work packages and deadlines made available to all partners. Presentations of each partner giving an outline of the care and guidance systems and means of violence prevention and crisis intervention available to all partners, including statistical information.

Documentation/Presentation of the care and guidance systems of the partners: infrastructure, personnel, financing, equipment, networks, data protection/personal discretion, experiences Documentation/Presentation of specific experiences/strategies/plans in the partner cities for prevention and intervention regarding dangerous/violent situations in VET schools. Website update with information of No 3-5. Progress report filed with the national agencies.

Identify all possible local partners. Send a list of local partners to us by 4 November 2011 indicating each partner's function in the context of this project. Collect all relevant data on the state of affairs concerning the topics of our project and prepare for a presentation of this information. Please let us have a draft of this presentation by 4 November 2011.
