How is it to be presented – essay or report format, class presentation? What are the assessment requirements – how many words? When is it due? How many and what type of resources are to be used? How current does the information need to be? © Central Institute of Technology 2015

To search for a phrase use quotation marks (e.g. “junk food” “fast food”) Use truncation where appropriate (e.g. advertise? = advertise, advertisers, advertisement) Link terms with AND -limits the search (e.g. obesity AND children) Link terms with OR - broadens the search (e.g. advertising OR marketing) © Central Institute of Technology 2015

Use your keywords (or alternative terms) to search the Library Catalogue for factual, in- depth information from books and DVDs.
