2. The Death Rituals practised by the Ancient Egyptians included embalming and mummification (which are detailed on other pages). After 70 days, following the death of a person, an elaborate funeral procession headed towards the designated tomb of the deceased. Pyramids had storage rooms, courtyards, secret passageways, and all kinds of fancy traps designed to catch robbers who tried to break into the pyramid to rob it.
