Soft wall finishes are made of light weight materials. They are used mainly in buildings such as theatres, auditoriums, music studios, offices and residential houses. They have the following functions: They provide near-perfect acoustics They provide insulation To increase aesthetic value of the space

1. Polyurethane foam Polyurethane is resilient, flexible and durable. It has been used in the production of a wide range of items

Polyurethane foam is either flexible or rigid, with low density Flexible polyurethane foam is used in bedding and upholstery The more rigid variety is used for thermal insulation

Polyurethane foam is made in blocks then cut to the desired shape, made in a mold or sprayed onto the surface

2. Textile wall finishes They are manufactured from natural fibres such as cotton, flax, silk and wool. The fibres are either woven, non-woven, napped, tufted or looped.
