2 What IS it?? An interactive Spanish notebook (ISN) is your own personalized JOURNAL of learning about Spanish A portfolio of your work in ONE convenient spot. This is great for studying for upcoming quizzes & test A great ORGANIZATIONAL tool that gives you permission to be CREATIVE in your responses without "messing up" your notes.

6 Warm-ups: Your warm-up is either on the whiteboard or on a PowerPoint. It acts as a review before we start class. It should be completed within the first FIVE minutes of class! Include la fecha (the date) and the warm up question each day

14 Notebook Rules - No RIPPED OUT pages or torn corners - No DOODLING that doesn’t relate to Spanish - Notebook should be used for SPANISH CLASS ONLY - BE COLORFUL & LOVE YOUR NOTEBOOK

15 Notebook Grading Notebooks will be graded at the end of each marking period and will count as A TEST!

16 Notebook Grading I will collect your notebook at the end of each marking period. I will evaluate the entire notebook and give a grade based on the quality, completeness, appearance, and organization. All class notes and notebook assignments should be included, even for the days you were absent. It is your responsibility to get all the information you missed!

17 Notebook Grading An important of part of your notebook is its visual appearance. The notebook serves as a demonstration of your learning throughout the marking period. Your notebook should be neat, every entry should be titled, and every entry must have a date and page number. Your artistic touch should be visible through out the notebook.

18 Grading Rubric Exemplary Notebook - 95% (A) All notes and vocabulary are accurate, complete, and neatly organized All notebook assignments are accurate, complete, and neatly organized All assignments are complete, neat, and follow directions

19 Grading Rubric Strong Notebook - 85% (B) Most notes and vocabulary are accurate, complete and neatly organized Most notebook assignments are accurate, complete, and neatly organized Most assignments are complete, neat, and follow directions

20 Grading Rubric Standard Notebook - 75% (C) Some notes and vocabulary are accurate, complete, and neatly organized Some notebook assignments are accurate, complete, and neatly organized Most assignments are complete and neat, but lack consistency

21 Grading Rubric Sub-Standard Notebook - 65% (D) Many notes and vocabulary are inaccurate, incomplete, and or messy Few or No notebook assignments are accurate, complete, and neatly organized Most assignments are incomplete, messy, or do not follow directions

22 Grading Rubric Incomplete Notebook - 50% (F) A 100% (A+) can be earned if extra work outside of the class is done and added neatly and consistently to the interactive notebook. Work should be an extension of the current topic being studied in the class.

23 Final Note Your notebook is a tool for you to use in Spanish class. Take pride in your work by keeping your notebook organized and neat! Never be afraid to ask questions! Gracias - ¡vamos a tener un a ñ o exelente!
