Food Preparation 1 Make sure that any utensils you use are clean; wash them before and after you use them Remove all food scraps immediately – do not leave them around Cover all food at all times

Food Preparation 2 Use different chopping boards/plates for different types of food Put all implements on plates when not using them Make sure that the food you are cooking has been stored correctly – unless it is sealed it should not be stored on the ground

Other Any food left unsealed in any way could attract animals etc. These animals can carry germs that make you ill. Keep cleaning items (like soap) separate from food Do not use dirty tea towels
