8 Mersey: The River That Changed the World As part of the Mersey Basin Campaign, this photographic exhibition explores the role that The River has played in the evolution of Stockport. A source of employment, a place of recreation and an inspiration, The River is an integral part of Stockport that has contributed to the definition of the landscape and attitudes towards the town. The exhibition will encourage people to leave their comments on how they feel about The River. Talks and river walks will accompany this exhibition as part of Heritage Open Days As part of the Mersey Basin Campaign, this photographic exhibition explores the role that The River has played in the evolution of Stockport. 9 Anne Frank + You This multi-media exhibition draws visitors into the world of Anne Frank, showing the relevance of the concerns she expressed in her celebrated diary, to how teenagers live their lives in twenty first century Britain. The exhibition includes The Anne Frank photo album, replica artifacts from Anne’s life and the Holocaust, a near-life- size replica of Anne’s bedroom and an interactive virtual tour of the Secret Annex in Amsterdam, where the Frank family hid for over two years. A fantastic bookshop accompanies this exhibition. The exhibition is suitable for adults and children from age 10 (Year 6) up. 12 Anne Frank and Family – Photographs by Otto Frank Anne Frank and Family is a beautiful and poignant collection of 60 images of Anne Frank and her sister Margot captured by their father before they went into hiding in 1942. The photographs depict everyday activities enjoyed by the girls and their friends and demonstrate Otto Frank’s talent for capturing special moments on film. This exhibition is accompanied by artefacts similar to those in the photographs and is suitable for all the family.
