Hydraulics are a liquid form of pneumatics Pneumatics are when pressurized gasses are used to produce mechanical rotation. They are used for the generation of control, and transmission of power through fluid.
3
Hydraulics can produce huge amounts of power making them great for construction equipment, like excavators, skid-steer, and bulldozers. Shocks, weather it be on a car or bike. Mechanics tools like floor jacks or lifts.
4
There has always been a need for a transmission of power to make greater force The invention of the steam engine created a spark that began the base hydraulics as we know it. Steam pushed pistons like oil does in hydraulics.
5
Hydraulics pistons get their power from pressurized oil being pushed against a cylinder They can exert tens of thousands of pounds of force. Lines or hoses that contain hydraulic oil are under so much pressure that they burst..
6
The hydraulic fluid is controlled by a pump that continuously rotates pushing fluid through the line in a cycle. There size varies, depending on how much pressure is needed for the task at hand.
8
Hydraulic power is transferred through a medium which would be based off mineral oils or water. Most mineral oils are a by-product of the distillation of petroleum to make gasoline. It is most commonly sold in 5 gallon buckets with an average cost of:100$ to 135$
9
All work and no play make for a dull day Starting mid 1970s people found out that adding bigger or more batteries to power the hydraulics in there low-rider's to get the wheels off the ground This is caused by a jolt of electricity making the pump pressurize and extend the hydraulics in the suspension.
