3 Level 2 IT – Games and Business Enterprises (IT Level 2 Diploma) IT – Games and Interactive Systems IT Level 3 Diploma IT – Advanced Users IT Level 3 Intro. Diploma Computing and Programming IT Level 3 Intro. Diploma Employability Level 2 students (IT Level 2 Certificate) Pupils 14 – 16 (IT Level 2 Certificate) IT Courses at St Vincent

4 1 year course: at the end of the year students are awarded the IT Level 2 Diploma The studies incorporate the following areas: Computer games design and development Computer generated graphics Computer specifications Promotion through web design and computer animation Database development Working and communicating within the industry IT – Games and Business Enterprise Level 2

5 IT – Games and Interactive Systems IT – Games and Interactive Systems Computing and Programming IT – Advanced Users On successful completion of the IT Level 2 Diploma, students move on to one of these Level 3 courses:

6 First Year: six units (at the end of the year, students can be awarded the IT Level 3 Introductory Diploma) Second Year: six units for the full IT Level 3 Diploma Students gain knowledge and skills in these areas: Developing Computer Games Software Design, Development and Programming Human Computer Interface Design and Development Communication and Employability Skills within the Industry Computer Systems and Specifications IT Technical Support plus Troubleshooting and Repair Computer Generated Graphics IT – Games and Interactive Systems (Double Award Qual.) 12 Units in Total IT – Games and Interactive Systems (Double Award Qual.) 12 Units in Total

7 First Year: three units (at the end of the year students can be awarded the IT Level 3 Certificate) Second Year: three units for the full IT Level 3 Introductory Diploma Students gain knowledge and skills in these areas: Employability and Communications within the Industry Computer Systems and Specifications Software Development Methods and Programming Computer Games Design and Development Computer Generated Animation Database Design Computing and Programming (Single Award Qual.) 6 Units in Total Computing and Programming (Single Award Qual.) 6 Units in Total

8 First Year: three units (at the end of the year students can be awarded the IT Level 3 Certificate qualification) Second Year: three units for the full IT Level 3 Introductory Diploma Students gain knowledge and skills in these areas: Employability and Communications within the Industry Computer Systems and Specifications Spreadsheet Modelling Methods Website Design and Network Concepts Database Design and Development E-Commerce Strategies IT – Advanced Users (Single Award Qual.) 6 Units in Total IT – Advanced Users (Single Award Qual.) 6 Units in Total

10 Pathways After Level 3 Go to University and specialise in a particular area of IT such as games design, software development, networks, web design or specialise in media orientated degrees This is an industry recognised qualification enabling students to find employment or carry out an apprenticeship
