Rates of self-injury are higher in Caucasians than non-Caucasians, a trend that has been reported across psychiatric, forensic, and nonclinical populations (Gratz, 2006; Guertin, Lloyd-Richardson, & Spirito, 2001; Jones, 1986; Maden, Chamberlain, & Gunn, 2000).
