3 What is Dyslexia? According to the U.S. National Institutes of Health, dyslexia is a learning disability that can delay a person's ability to read, write, spell, and sometimes speak

4 What are the Different Types of Dyslexia? "Trauma dyslexia" "primary dyslexia" "secondary" or "developmental dyslexia" Dyslexia may affect several different functions. Visual dyslexia is characterized by number and letter reversals and the inability to write symbols in the correct sequence. Auditory dyslexia involves difficulty with sounds of letters or groups of letters. The sounds are perceived as jumbled or not heard correctly.

6 The famous signs and symptoms that the teacher should take care about it includes the following: Difficulty in writing from the board or book Difficulty to remember content Difficulty in organizing sports or games in the playground, for example The child may appear to be uncoordinated Difficulty to differentiate between left and right Difficulty moving to the rhythm of the music with the others Difficulty in remembering or understanding what child hears Difficulty in recalling sequence, or remember more than one thing at a time They missed some words or parts of whole sentences They replacing words with words with same sound or similar to

9 What about the Evaluation and the Treatment? The evaluation must be done before the treatment, to specify the area of disability there are many theories about treatments for dyslexia, but there is no actual cure The school has a big role with the parent If the school is unable to deal with the child's needs he\she must be transferred to another school, which can educate the dyslexic child The most important aspect of planned treatment is attitude Help at school or college
