2 ECFA Formed in 1993 in anticipation of EU review of Battery Cages Directive that year Two highly successful campaign tours of Europe (battery cages in 1994, veal crates in 1995)

3 ECFA Successes Ban of battery cages from 2012 Sentient being status - 1997 2001 – won EU phase-out of sow stalls

4 ECFA Farm Animal experts Very good campaigning power in national states Lobbies European Institutions and national governments
