Open Access articles are read more than articles published in subscription journals Open Access articles are probably cited more than articles published in subscription journals Use social media and publication lists to improve your visibility. Add your Author’s Final Version to PURE Put profile and or publications on University and School web pages Spell your name consistently Always include university name in full – which is “University of Edinburgh” not Edinburgh University or UoE. Collaborate with top international universities Use social media – twitter, Facebook, blog Think about search engine optimisation (keywords) Publish in journals with high impact factors
