Human products tested on animals to see if they are safe for humans to use. All animal testing is done for the benefits of humans. People want to make sure that if the product is unsafe for the humans, then it wont be put on market So we humans take animals, and put them in labs
3
Animal experiments can be misleading. An animal's response to a drug can be different to a human's Successful alternatives include test tube studies on human tissue cultures, statistics and computer models The stress that animals endure in labs can affect experiments, making the results meaningless Basically, no it doesn’t work to what we expect it to, so its useless to continue
4
Yes some people may agree that animal testing would be great for MEDICAL RESEARCH Sure it sounds great, by looking for new cures on horrible diseases Not wasting another human life But in the long run, its not worth it. The animals are treated to poorly to fully understand what drug would work, or what doesn’t work
5
Not to mention the cost of it all! It cost an enormous amount of money to test on animals, they have a huge list of things they have to do. Also some scientist are coming up with ways to test without using the animals It would probably be Human testing
6
Every single day more than 38,000 animals are used to test cosmetics, toiletries like toothpaste and shampoo, and household detergents and cleaners. The FDA and Consumer Product Safety Commission DOES NOT require them to be tested on animals.
7
Well sometimes they will hold the animals for a couple of weeks Like if they were testing for make up They would let the animal set for about a week, to see what side effects the animal would have And if it does hurt them, then they are tossed into bags and actually thrown away
8
Belgium, Netherlands, U.K. are countries that banned animal testing Europe is slowly banning products that use animals to test them And also, Europe has decided not to take any kind of make up product or perfume that has been tested on animals So mainly, testing is only here in the USa
9
Mice Rabbits Dogs Guinea pigs Cats Monkey’s Other animals are also used
10
Well most of the time companies would pay breeders to send them some of there dogs, cats. Etc Other times they are taken from the pound, or off the streets Even some would go to extreme levels and take monkeys from their habitats because we share Mainly the same molecular structure.
11
Well in short terms, they mainly take the animals into a room Lock them up so they basically cant move, or either sedate them long enough Then they will apply or inject what ever they need tested Its cruel and immoral what some of the scientist would do to some of these animals. If they needed to they would pull back the fur and skin of it and apply make up, or put a little perfume on the area
12
It's impossible to know exactly how many animals are being used in research because U.S. laws do not require scientists to report how many mice, rats, or birds they use. The animals that scientists do have to report using in experiments include dogs, cats, sheep, hamsters, guinea pigs, and primates. That means, that scientist can take any number of animal (besides endangered species) to “practice on”
13
People need to understand that what we are doing to these animals is cruel and not fair Nobody would want to be taken from their homes and taken to a lab just to get tested on Just like people feel pain, animals feel it too. Sure we need to know what could harm us or not, but why would we need such harsh chemicals? To make us look good? Smell better?
14
If we need harsh chemicals to make us look better, or feel better about ourselves, then we need to test humans. Human testing would be much more efficient because then we would know exactly what would be alright to use And what we couldn’t use Time to give the animals a BREAK. Do you like to get hurt? Neither do they.
