Heritage Tourism at the National Trust Heritage Tourism Program – Share Your Heritage Initiative Publications Historic Hotels of America Dozen Distinctive Destinations Partnership Projects National Preservation Fund Grants

National Trust's Heritage Tourism Program Provides fee-for-service assistance in heritage tourism development, management and marketing. Share Your Heritage is an initiative of Partners in Tourism, a coalition of national cultural organizations and agencies that is coordinated by the National Trust's Heritage Tourism Program. –The initiative phase (1999-2002) included the development of more than 50 how-to cultural heritage tourism curriculum materials, a high-quality publication of cultural heritage tourism success stories and four pilot workshops. –To date, a total of twenty Share Your Heritage workshops have been funded. Sessions include cross-discipline training, cultural heritage tourism instruction using expert national and local faculty and interactive training and problem solving exercises.

($15) Touring Historic Places: 16-page guide for group tour operators and managers of historic sites to develop, market, and host group heritage tours. ($10) Preserving Our Past: Building Our Future: 8-minute video describing the economic impact of heritage tourism and other benefits. ($10) Share Your Heritage: Cultural Heritage Tourism Success Stories: 80-page publication featuring heritage tourism success stories from across the country. ($25) Share Your Heritage: Cultural Heritage Resource Manual: 45-page publication including descriptive information about 40 national organizations that provide heritage tourism support services. ($10) Who’s Who Directory of Statewide Cultural Heritage Tourism Programs: Compilation of 2001 survey results from 38 statewide programs. ($10) Forum Journal – Summer 1999 New Directions in Heritage Tourism: 60-page publication focusing on issues of heritage tourism. ($6)
