Symptoms Syphilis has 4 stages. Each stage has a different symptom.
First stage: In the first stage an infection, a skin ulcer, called a chancre develops in different parts of your body. In the first weeks of chancre, the chancre usually heals without treatment. Second stage: In the second stage of syphilis people develop body aches, lumps under the skin condyloma lata( white bumps , fatigue, malaise, fever, chills, headache, joint pains, muscle aches, loss of appetite, mouth ulcers, excessive salivation, and sore throat.

Symptoms ( continued ) Third stage: In the third stage of syphilis people develop chest pain, difficulty breathing, difficulty walking, numbness of the body, delusions, hallucinations, and confusion. Here are some pictures of how the disease looks when it starts affecting you
That is a skin ulcer. This usually starts happening in the second stage of syphilis.
7
Diagnosis Syphilis can be diagnosed by a simple blood test.
It can also be diagnosed by going to the doctor regularly to be checked.
8
Prognosis An antibiotic called penicillin can treat early syphilis. Although later stages of syphilis respond to antibiotics, treatment can not repair any organ damage caused by the disease. Without treatment about one third of patients risk severe organ damage and death.
9
How does syphilis affect the cell?
Without treatment, syphilis can lead through damage throughout the whole body. If you don’t treat syphilis you have a higher risk of getting HIV and for women it can cause problems during pregnancy. Syphilis attacks the cell because the syphilis bacteria goes inside the cell and makes it weaker.
10
How does syphilis spread?
Syphilis spreads throughout the whole body because of the bacteria. The bacteria goes with a cell and starts attacking it. When it attacks the cell it makes it spread throughout the whole body.
11
How to prevent getting syphilis
Don't have sexual relationships.. Have a faithful partner Get tested. Also use condoms while having sexual realtionships.
12
The treatment of syphilis
The treatment is to inject penicillin into the muscle. If you are allergic to penicillin your doctor may suggest to another treatment. Syphilis can only be cured with this treatment because scientists have not found any other cure.
13
Genetics In syphilis if one or both parents have syphilis it can be passed down to the son\daughter. But if parents have syphilis it can give severe damage to the son\daughter. The son\ daughter may have organ damage and birth defects.
