1. Let me introduce myself. My name is Shaumenova Aigerim. I’m a pupil of the 9th form. I’m 15 years old. I like to spend my free time with my family, friends, walking about the city or reading fantastic books. And of course I like to read in English. English is my favorite subject at school. And I want to connect my life and job in future with English.

2. Welcome to Regional Specialized School No. 8 for gifted children which is situated in Uralsk city, West Kazakhstan. Our school is a mixed government aided school. About 430-440 students study in our school. As the Regional school our aim is to develop all abilities of our students, to know 3 languages perfectly well and learn some specific subjects in these languages: Kazakh, Russian and English

5. Social skills Formal or informal ? Teachers in Kazakhstan are quite formal. They prefer to use their first name and father’s name. It is natural for them to call you by your first name or surname, even if you want. But pupils must call them only by their first name and father’s name. Because for them it seems not polite and disrespectful for them. Please, call them by their first and father’s name(patronimic)

6. Kazakhstan is a country in central part of Asia. Its population is about 15-16 million people. There are 14 regions in our country. And one of them is Uralsk city. Uralsk is the center of culture, education of West Kazakhstan.
