1. SH / SR Connectors PURPOSE: To introduce the SH crimp style and SR insulation displacement wire-to-board connector series.

2. PROBLEM: Many applications require a wire-to-board connector that is sub-miniature in size and offers engineers design flexibility. SCRIPT: The crimp style SH series and insulation displacement SR series wire-to-board connectors are on a 1.0mm (.039”) pitch, molded in 94V0 materials (housing and SMT headers), incorporate both polarization and a compatible polarized mate and have a friction locking feature when mated. These low profile connectors have a side-entry mounting height of only 2.95mm (.116”) and a top- entry mounting height of only 6.3mm (.248”). SH / SR Connectors

3. SH Connectors crimp style wire-to-board connector series SCRIPT: The SH crimp style wire-to-board connector series is available in 2 through 15 and 20 circuits and will accept a wire range of 28AWG to 32AWG. The SH connectors are rated at 1.0 amp AC/DC using a 28AWG wire, have a rating of 50 volts AC/DC and operate in a temperature range of -25 degrees centigrade to +85 degrees centigrade. Housings are available with and without protrusions. Housings with protrusions will facilitate easier removal of housing from header if space permits.

4. SH Connectors crimp style wire-to-board contacts SCRIPT: The SH contacts, which are designed to accommodate a wire range of 28AWG to 32AWG, are tin- plated over a phosphor bronze base material. 6. SH Headers SCRIPT: RoHS compliant (lead free) 94V0 Polyamide surface mount headers are available in top (straight) and side (right angle) mount. Header contacts are tin-plated, copper alloy, copper-undercoated with reinforcements (for additional mechanical strength) which are tin plated, copper-undercoated brass. Headers are fully shrouded to protect receptacles from damage and to provide guidance for the mating connector. SMT headers are provided on embossed tape for automatic insertion equipment. The SH headers are compatible with the IDC SR series.

7. SR Connectors IDC wire-to-board connectors SCRIPT: The insulation displacement (IDC) SR wire-to-board connector is available in 2 through 14 circuits and utilizes the SH series SMT board-mounted headers. Applicable for 30AWG, the SR connectors are rated at 0.7 amps AC/DC using 30AWG wire, have a rating of 50 volts AC/DC and operate in a temperature range of -25 degrees centigrade to +85 degrees centigrade.

8. SCRIPT: The SR receptacles consists of a 94V0 Polyamide housing and RoHS compliant (lead-free) tin-plated over phosphor bronze contacts of a twin U-slot configuration ensuring a reliable connection. 9. THE SH AND SR SERIES ARE ENGINEERING & MANUFACTURING FREINDLY SCRIPT: Applicators are available for semi-automatic and fully automatic termination equipment normally found in the manufacturing environment as well as standard hand tools. Standard reels for the SH series (23,000 pieces) are available for manufacturing. SH series contacts are also available in 1,000 piece mini reels for engineering, lab and pre-production requirements.
