Hungary competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from 27 July to 12 August 2012

On 7 November 2012, the International Olympic Committee stripped Uzbek wrestler Soslan Tigiev of his bronze medal after testing positive for the prohibited substance methylhexaneamine.

Hungarian athletes have won a total of 476 medals at the Summer Games and 6 medals at the Winter Games, with fencing as the top medal-producing sport. Hungary has won more Olympic medals than any other nation that has never hosted the Games.
