Mission The mission of the UT Health Science Center’s Military Health Institute is to improve the health of our nation’s military service members, veterans and their families through collaborative education, research and clinical care. 6

UT Health Science Center Longstanding Military Collaborations Military health professionals were integral to the establishment of the university 12% of faculty/staff have a military background 231 students funded by VA/Hazelwood Act 64 active duty military student scholarships $10 million in DoD funded research annually 7
