VeriFire Tools Network Diagnostic Utility
2
Overview Allows user to check various statistics and software versions of panels and DVC’s. Only available in online mode
3
Network Statistics Shows a view of all the traffic within the network as your selected node sees it. When you initiate this service, you have the option to view the entire network or one other selected node through this "node’s eye view". Checking the "Reset All Nodes" option clears all previous network responses in the statistics screen. NOTE: This services requires a network node be designated as a point of reference before you monitor the network.
7
NUP Port Statistics Displays the total number of messages transmitted to and from an individual node on the network. Contact NOTIFIER Technical Services to use the information in both of these services to diagnose problems that may occur within your network.

9
Software Versions Displays version numbers of software currently installed on either a selected node or all nodes in the network. Incompatible or out-of date software is highlighted.

Network Test Runs a communication test between selected nodes on the network. The test procedure will be aborted if a real event occurs anywhere on the network. There should be no activity on the network before performing the test.
20
Network Test Software Versions need to be correct
Network needs to be in style 4 Verfire needs to be connected to an end node MUST know the network layout (which node is connected to which) Can debug by building network out or breaking network down
21
Network Test Make sure the wire is good before replacing parts
For the worst case scenario build a network out node by node A network is not considered reliable if the network test fails All nodes on the network should pass the network tests Errors are only caught if they occur while a test is in progress.
