Multiplying a Mixed Number by a Whole Number
In order to multiply a fraction, both factors must be in the form of fractions To convert a mixed number into a fraction, multiply the whole number by the denominator of the fraction, then add the product to the numerator 4 5 9 5 6 1 9 x 6 5 x 1 54 5 1 x 6 x = = = 10 R 4 4 5 5 54 10 50 4
