Propane Across The U.S. Most popular alternative fuel and growing rapidly. Over 270,000 on-road vehicles in the U.S. and over 15 million world wide. Domestically produced fuel. Readily available and affordable fueling stations. Used for fleet applications such as taxicabs, law enforcement vehicles, vans and medium duty trucks. Is a high octane fuel source, increasing overall efficiency of the engine and lowering operating and maintenance costs. Over 3,500 school buses on the road today are fueled by propane.
