Library PressDisplay Read today's news from South China Morning Post, China Daily, The Guardian, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, International Herald Tribune and nearly 2,200 newspapers in 54 languages from 97 countries including Australia, China, Taiwan, Singapore and the U.S. You can flip and browse news articles online like reading a printed newspaper You can search the 90-day archive or even listen to an article. 4

The date range can be set up to 5 years Select the Databases for searching: a. WiseSearch - Cover the key newspapers and publications from leading Hong Kong newspapers publishers b. WiseSearch Pro - Cover information sources overseas, including China, Macau, Taiwan etc.

Part Two: Local TV Programme (EdVideo) 25

EdVideo It is a Video-On-Demand service available on the Campus network. With the kind permissions of ATV, ETV, RTHK and TVB, the Library has recorded and digitised television programmes produced by these TV stations. Topics include education-related issues and current affairs. The video programmes are available in Adobe Flash format. HKIEd staff and students can access EdVideo remotely outside the campus by using their HKIEd Network usernames and passwords for authentication. These video programmes are for viewing only and cannot be saved and downloaded to any local PC because of copyright restrictions. 26

Technical Tips of EdVideo Software Requirements: (a) Browser - Internet Explorer (5.0 or above) or Netscape (4.17 or above). Best view under Internet Explorer with 800x600 resolution. (b) Media Player - Windows Media Player version 6.4 or above (bundled with Windows 95/98/2000/XP) Hardware Requirements: (a) Pentium III CPU (b) 128MB RAM memory (c) Sound card 31
