Introduction Project Definition: – Develop a Robotic Football Competition and produce a proof-of-concept prototype. Our Focus: – Prototype a quarterback and a receiver in order to complete an offensive passing play. Today’s Discussion: – Programming, Circuitry, Structural Components

Previous Week’s Action Items Item 1: Design Circuitry – Circuit Diagrams revised for both the Quarterback and Receiver models. Parts received this week: – Turning base motor. – Throwing arm motor. – Capacitor.

Quarterback Circuit Diagram

Receiver Circuit Diagram

Previous Week’s Action Items Item 2: Develop CAD drawings – Parts for brackets, capacitor, motor, and Mini- Max/PIC built. – CAD model nearing completion for Quarterback. Still requires capacitor, motor, and Mini-Max/PIC attachments. – HDPE cradle structure for throwing arm. – Mini-Max/PIC attached with screws and washers. – Considerations needed for capacitor.

Current Status of Concept Status of the Design – Prototype Development: Virtual Model. Electronic Circuitry and Programming. – Currently on-schedule. Project Plan developed for Mr. Hederman. Saturday meeting with Mr. Cushing and Mr. Horvath centered around competition rules.

Next Week’s Action Items Item 1: Begin Programming and Circuit Construction – Testing with Breadboard connection between Mini- Max/PIC and robot components. – Mini-Max/PIC will be programmed to control these components: Turning base motor. Throwing arm motor and capacitor pair.

Next Week’s Action Items Item 2: Order Structural Components – Order HDPE material for Quarterback. – Buy switches for the Quarterback base. – Buy Velcro for object of play. – Finish selecting sizes for fasteners. Brackets, screws, washers. – Update CAD model with selections.

Conclusion Important Points: – Build circuitry for purchased electronic components through use of the bread board. – Develop code for each circuit element. – Order structural components including fasteners and HDPE.

Questions? Any questions?
