ARACNE associazione di promozione sociale – Naples - Italy Manifesto ARACNE is an accessible space, an open and collaborative network of individuals and groups, a flexible tool for research and action. ARACNE originates from the idea that the so-called human sciences don’t lose, but instead gain centrality, thanks to the spread of ICT in all areas of life – economics, politics and sciences. ARACNE is convinced that the production of knowledge is a creative process of collective elaboration and of practical experimentation, starting with itself Research is an experience from which we emerge transformed. ARACNE favours change, new inventions, play, meetings and exchange, the continuous shift of research fields and of action. ARACNE interprets the society of knowledge as an, open reticular, multicultural society, which respects the rights, the needs, the differences and the aspirations of every single person form the northern to the southern hemisphere. ARACNE recognises that there is constructive value in dissent and conflict, yet prefers to avoid the logic of competition. ARACNE has a light fluid form, because context and goals define roles, and not vice-versa. ARACNE weaves and works with dynamic, flexible and open relationships and structures. ARACNE supports the development of open platforms and knowledge-sharing. ARACNE communicates and travels widely within Europe, but remains with its roots firmly planted in the city of Naples.
