Welcome to disciple making Generosity module Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything* I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matt 28:19-20)

The Generosity of God 6:17 Thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin 6:22 you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God. The benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6)

But we find ourselves to be ungenerous 1:18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men, 1:21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 1:29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 1:30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 1:31 they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. (Romans) Confession + there must be more than this Generosity is achievable

We have access to grace 3:21 But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 3:22 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all the faithful. 3:23 All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 3:24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 5:2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. I see the king Generosity is achievable
13
I see the King of Glory coming on the clouds with fire; The whole earth shakes, the whole earth shakes. I see His love and mercy washing over all our sin; The people sing, The people sing: Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna in the highest. (Repeat) I see a generation Rising up to take their place, With selfless faith, With selfless faith. I see a near revival Stirring as we pray and seek; We're on our knees, We're on our knees. Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna in the highest. (Repeat) Heal my heart and make it clean; Open up my eyes to the things unseen. Show me how to love like You have loved me, Break my heart for what breaks Yours; Everything I am for Your kingdom's cause, As I walk from earth into eternity. Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna in the highest. (Repeat) Generosity is achievable
14
Invitation We are invited to come together as those who belong to the household of Christ, brothers and sisters, who in our baptized lives live out the death and resurrection of Jesus. The family of the reborn and the reconciled, who inhabit a universe of grace. Generosity is achievable
15
Thanks Creating and redeeming God, we give you thanks and praise for your covenant of grace: a covenant expressed in sinful people who know forgiveness, the weary who are refreshed, the hungry who are nourished, the captives who are set free and the oppressed who experience liberation. Thank you that you chose to make us a part of your story. Generosity is achievable
16
Thank you for Jesus Christ who revealed your love in his death and resurrection and who continues to share his life with us through bread and wine. Thank you for sending the Holy Spirit who sustains us in our walk together, helping us to watch over each other, to pray for one another, and to work together for justice and truth. Generosity is achievable
17
As we eat this bread and drink from the cup, (signs of hospitality and grace), may we be empowered to serve boldly wherever you may call. Accept these prayers and our heartfelt thanksgiving in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Generosity is achievable
18
The Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took a loaf of bread and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me”. Generosity is achievable
19
In the same way he took the cup also, after supper, saying “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this as often as you drink it in remembrance of me”. Paul reminds us that as often as we eat this bread and drink the cup, we proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. Generosity is achievable
20
Post Communion Holy God, we have been nourished and had our thirst quenched, through bread broken and wine poured in thanksgiving for your Son Jesus Christ. Send us out to be as generous to those we meet this week, that we might show through word and deed that he is not dead, but risen and present among us For Christ has Died - Christ is Risen & Christ will come again. Generosity is achievable

1) All I once held dear, built my life upon All this world reveres, and wars to own All I once thought gain I have counted loss; Spent and worthless now, compared to this. Knowing You, Jesus Knowing You, there is no greater thing. You’re my all, You’re the best You’re my joy, my righteousness And I love You, Lord. 2) Now my heart’s desire is to know You more To be found in You and known as Yours. To possess by faith what I could not earn All-surpassing gift of righteousness. 3) Oh, to know the power of Your risen life And to know You in Your sufferings. To become like You in Your death, my Lord So with You to live and never die. Generosity is achievable

Radical generosity in relationships For the benefit of others Jesus "When you give a dinner, do not invite your friends or your rich neighbours; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. When you give a banquet, invite whose who cannot repay you, you will be blessed“ (Luke 14:12-14) Time – money - possessions Generosity is achievable

Malachi 3: Tithes and Offerings 7 Ever since the time of your forefathers you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you," says the LORD Almighty. "But you ask, 'How are we to return?' 8 "Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. "But you ask, 'How do we rob you?' "In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse-- the whole nation of you– because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit," says the LORD Almighty. 12 "Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land," says the LORD Almighty. Thank God for his written Word to us
26
Radical generosity in relationships Not law but grace: big picture people 14 For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace. 15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! 17 Thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin 22 you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God. (Romans 6) Generosity is achievable – To be radical it comes first & always When you don’t want to
27
"Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Luke 12:32-34) Generosity is achievable – To be radical it comes first & always
