Pizarro started exploring when he heard about all the gold in the Incan Empire.
He explored the Incan Empire, Panama, and Central America.
He was sponsored by the King of Spain
Pizarro made Spain one of the richest countries in the World.

5. Francisco Pizarro Encounters With Natives
He traveled to Canzmarca where the Inca’s general lived (Atahualpa).
The general thought he would attack and met him with a large army. Pizarro retreated back to camp.
The next day he lead a surprise attack and took 5 hostages including the general.
He demanded a large sum of silver and gold for the ransom price.
Then Pizarro killed the 5 hostages and the Incan Empire fell apart and Spain conquered them.
