Project summary Cyclelogistics Ahead builds on the success of the predecessor project “Cyclelogistics – moving Europe forward” Cyclelogistics Ahead supports the aim of near zero emission urban logistics by 2030 as part of the Energy programme of the European Commission Cyclelogistics Ahead addresses the three affected target groups: 1. Transport Sector, 2. Municipalities and 3. Private and commercial end users

Expected outputs Start-up of bike courier services 3 Train-the-trainer workshops leading to 20-25 certified trainers in up to 13 countries. Over 110 start-ups Europe-wide Through training and consulting programms 6 Empowerment Workshops in the New Member State Countries, leading to At least 8-10 start-ups in New Member State Countries

Expected outputs Professionalization and extension of existing bike courier businesses Service development (through specific training modules) At least 100 existing cyclelogistics companies to improve their services Establishment of 35 contracts/applications relating to zero emission logistics with express courier companies

Expected outputs Infrastructural measures –Set up of 6-8 (mobile/micro) consolidation centres or intermodal consolidation centres –Switch to zero emission vehicles for the “last mile”

Expected outputs Regulatory measures and local/regional cooperation platforms Regulative measures implemented in at least 6 partner cities (restrictions or incentives) Integration of zero emission logistics in municipal procurement procedures in 10 cities resulting in the use of at least 30 cargo bikes

Expected outputs Measures focused on end users Awareness raising campaigns Logistic transparency by means of label, used by at least 200 companies 20 pilot measures on innovative storage offers for consumers and IT-solutions and home delivery services in cooperation with supermarkets and restaurants
