4 Community Dental Services c/o Bridgewater The service treats patients referred by local general dental, medical practitioners and other health care professionals for a range of problems and conditions which are not available in their local dental practice, e.g. Treatment of special needs patients Minor oral surgery e.g. removal of impacted wisdom teeth/buried roots Treatment of young children who need inhalation sedation or general anaesthesia for extraction Safety net patients i.e. nervous or phobic patients unsuitable for treatment in practice X-ray facilities e.g. panoramic radiographs. 5 Urgent Dental Care c/o Revive NHS England has commissioned; In-hours urgent dental care (Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm) from 4 dental practices across Warrington, and Out-of-hours dental clinic, available in Warrington every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday, 9am – 4pm. If urgent dental care is required, patients will be given an appointment at a Warrington-based clinic. If a patient living in Warrington calls the dental helpline out-of- hours from Monday to Friday and needs an appointment at a dental clinic, they will be given the choice to either; Travel to their nearest out-of-hours clinic in St Helens, or Wait for a next day appointment at a local practice.
