Qualifying event Recommendation Must meet these two guidelines: – Event must highlight Music Genres fitting the Mountain Music Trail concept: “Music tied to place” Old time Bluegrass Ethnic Folk Country Gospel – Geographical coverage: Venue or festival location within county boundaries of Monroe, Greenbrier, Pocahontas, Randolph, Tucker

Partnership definitions Performance Venues: business/organization locations presenting qualifying music Associate Partners: CVB’s, development authorities, others who are not venues or festivals but support this project such as musicians, artisans, instrument crafters Festivals: one time a year events presenting only qualifying music– events that are either located outdoors or rent a facility/venue indoors for the event/Festival.

PROPOSED MARKETING PLAN Steering committee recommends: assessing a 2013 marketing contribution of $100 from venues, partners, festivals to support the development of a website, print piece and logo Partnership is free; paid partnerships receive added value benefits Paid partnership funds will support the marketing program

WV Matching Advertising Partnership Program Grant WV Tourism MAPP grant application up to $10,000  Website o Website calendar/map– Partners may list applicable music events –  All partners must register for Username/password to add to the calendar  free basic listing (event name, location address)  expanded listing - added value for paid partners (event name, location address, partner website link, interactive map link) o Added value for paid partners - listings by sub-categories for respective partner website links  Print piece – purpose to push folks to website  Additional advertising if funds allow 2.
