Demonstrate.  Shape—Rehearse potential problem situations. Praise good examples. Confront poor ones.  Reinforce—Positive verbal reinforcement for anything that comes closer to the desired behavior. Use names and the specific action you’re reinforcing.

 JUNIOR VARSITY/FRESHMAN Development, over time Varsity Preparation…IN TIME! No minimum required...  VARSITY Never guaranteed  Coaches will strive to be fair….it is not fair to treat unequals as equals

 RIDE THE BUS!!!!  FCCPS provides buses/vans for all athletic contests and athletes must ride to, and from, all contests on school provided transportation unless prior approval is granted. No exceptions!

 All student-athletes must be in school within ONE HOUR of school start time, and stay all day. You must give us 24 hr advance notice if you wish to participate and cannot meet that requirement  Buses that arrive back to GM after midnight…allow/not require up to ONE HOUR late arrival to school the next day.

Academic/Extra-curricular Responsibilities. Students are expected to meet their academic requirements (including Band/Theatre/Clubs) without impacting the sports they have chosen to participate in. Academics are a top priority for our athletes but so are team sports values and responsibilities. Athletes are expected to discuss with coaches in advance if the student feels academic needs may conflict with practice/contests.
