Our Discussion is based on the IDEA Policy Agenda approved by CEC’s Board of Directors: “Advocate for the reauthorization, regulatory provisions and full implementation of IDEA 2004 with an emphasis on key policies including full funding; outstanding Part C regulations and early childhood; access to the general education curriculum; assessment; preparing, recruiting and retaining a well-prepared, diverse special education workforce; and quality conditions for teaching and learning; disporportionate representation; identification and eligibility; discipline procedures; transition initiatives; monitoring and enforcement and paperwork reduction; and Family involvement.” CEC 2014 Annual Convention Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
