Rhythm vs. Rhyme The natural rhythms of the poems helps intonation in English. (e.g.: Jack & Jill, Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater, ) Jack & JillJack & Jill It is an excellent medium for a variety of teaching techniques which make the classroom into a stimulating learning environment. The rhymes help children regain vocabulary.

Let’s Chant Our Mother Tongue! Chinese: –“ ㄅ ” 什麼 “ ㄅ ” ,爸爸的 “ ㄅ ” –Rap: 聽說 Lucy 時常做運動, 身體健康精神好, 規律運動不可少, 全身運動功效好. 喂, 同學 ! 整個禮拜運動樣來安排, 要聽我 就報給你知. Come on, everybody 一 起來. 要不一, 三, 五 ; 要不二四六, 實 在真厲害, 大家一起來.

Let’s Chant English (1) English: –“a, a, [$], [$], [$] –Rap: Cindy, What’s wrong with me? –Words: Teaching stationery items –one-syllable words: book, bag –two-syllable words: pencil, ruler, crayon, marker (book bag) –three-syllable words: pencil case

Let’s Chant English (2) English: –Words: Number 1-20 Colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, purple, brown, black, white Prepositions: over, on, in, under, in front of, behind (next to, between, by) –Sentences: The pencil is in the book. Stand up. Attention. Bow. Sit down.
