21. Craggaunowen – the Living Past Experience is Ireland’s original award winning Pre- historic Park. Situated on 50 acres of wooded grounds, the Park interprets Ireland’s pre-historic and early Christian eras. It features a stunning recreation of some of the homesteads, animals and artefacts which existed in Ireland over 1,000 years ago.

23. Ennis is the county town of County Clare and the cathedral town of the diocese of Killaloe. The origins of the town can be traced to the foundation of the Franciscan Friary by one of the O’Brien’s c.1250. The original town was mainly made of wood which was completely destroyed by a great fire. A more permanent medieval town grew up to replace it, and the present narrow streets and alleys of the town centre still reflect the medieval town plan.County ClareKillaloe
