The Origin!! ●The Incas had One important origin myth The sun god Inti ordered manco capac and his wife to emerge from the depths of the lake titicaca, to find the city of Cuzco. They traveled through many underground caves until they reached the city of cuzco, where they established the first dynasty of the kingdom of Cuzco.

Where did they live? ●The incas were distributed in all the Andes Region in the countries of Perú, Chile, ecuador Argentina, bolivia, and Colombia. But their principal city was Cuzco in Perú.

Inca Society ●Population : there is some debate about how many people lived but its estimated between 4 million to 34 million. ●The language the incas used was the Quechua ●The incas were polytheists that means they believed in a lot of gods. ●Interesting fact: When an emperor died or some important died almost 4,000 were sacrificed.

Inca Economy ●Rich in foodstuffs, textiles, gold and cocoa, the incas were masters of city building but nevertheless had no money. In fact they had no marketplaces at all ●The incas did engaged trade but only with outsiders not among themselves ●Food was their coin, pure labor structured their economy.

Inca Agriculture ●To the incas the art of agriculture was a supreme interest ●they mostly cultivated corn, potatoes and quinoa, quinoa was used to make cereals and soup. ●The incas invented a system called terrace gardening they carved steps from the side of a mountain to create flat land for farming.

Machu Picchu ●Is a 15th century Inca site located 2,430 metres above sea level. ●It’s the most famous icon from the inca civilization. ●It was built around 1450 when Pachacuti ruled as the emperor ●most of the outside buildings had been restored. The restoration work its continued to this day. ●on the 24 of july of 1911, hiram bingham announce his discovery to scholars at yale university.
