Definition FE06 is a program to fund new guardrail locations statewide. Sections for this program are maintained in a guardrail database. Funding Selection (NEW) The highest raked project in each District will be funded up to 1/12 of the total FE06 budget. –If sections are estimated more than 1/12 then Field Engineers and the District will work to reduce the cost. (Ex. Break project down to fundable levels) –After breaking down projects, a new analysis will be done to determine the project to be funded

Funding Selection (NEW) Cont. Remaining funds will be used to fund projects based on the statewide guardrail list. –If there are insufficient funds to cover all projects with equal points, the remaining budget amount will be used to determine funding. –If the budget is not a sufficient tool to determine funding, the Field Engineers will assess the projects and make a decision on the project to fund.
