Phobic Disorders Specific Phobias Specific phobia symptoms vary depending on the fear of a specific person. Symptoms usually include extreme fear of a certain object or situation which is avoided at all costs. Social Phobias Blushing Profuse sweating, Trembling Nausea Difficulty talking Don’t like public speaking Get nervous around authority figures (Social Phobia (Social Anxiety Disorder).

Panic Disorders Fear of dying Losing control or going crazy Shortness of breath or hyperventilation Chest pain or discomfort Numbness or tingling sensations Chest pain or discomfort Sweating.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders Varies upon the obsessive-compulsion of a person. Some symptoms may be fear of being contaminated by: Germs or dirt or contaminating others Fear of causing harm to yourself or others Order and symmetry: the idea that everything must line up “just right” Excessive double-checking of things such as: locks, appliances, and switches Counting, Tapping Repeating certain words or doing other senseless things to reduce anxiety Accumulating “junk” such as old newspapers or empty food containers.
